How long must I call for help, but you do not listen?

Here we are, followers of Christ, coming before Hiim everyday in prayer, bringing the same petition before Him and because we see no results, we doubt that He is even listening this time around.

Happens to absolutely every one of us – and if this prayer happens in the realm of healing where you or your loved one is looking for a miracle because that is what is is going to take to get through – more exasperating, emotionally draining and sometimes, faith depleting.

When we have cried as long as we have, we all know that at times that cry has been so intense because we know Christ is the only one who can even hear it and then the  only one who can help.

Then we start to think that maybe we have sinned a sin and this is what has happened because we have been separated from the blessing of God.  Punishment does not come without sin, nor does sin endure without punishment.

Through this all, we still know and still attest the unutterable lovingkindness of God.

It is amazing to see your family and friends rally around you and pray with you – almost to the point of exhaustion too.  It is as if we are signing a petition and laying it before God.

We are not the only ones who have cried this prayer.

You will find it all over the Psalms, Habakkuk, even in Revelations.

Trust in God, continue to cry out aloud – I believe the louder we cry, the more we cry from the heart, even without words; for not the moving of the lips, but the love of the heart sounds in the ears of God.

Maybe your process of praying is wrong, and also what you have asked does not conform to His will.

Understand carefully the following verses :

    # He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination (Proverbs 28:9)

    # The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord : but the prayer of the upright is His delight (Proverbs 15:8)

    # The Lord is far from the wicked : but He heareth the prayer of the righteous(Proverbs 15:29)

”because we know Christ is the only one who can even hear it and then the only one who can help.” – Amen to that! 🙂 I’m subscribing, can’t wait to read more. Godbless!

I think you got it all wrong.
All prayers should be addressed to the Father, and not to Christ. Can you understand that?
There are rules that you must follow whenever you want to pray :

    # Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before GOD ; for God is in heaven and thou upon earth : Therefore LET THY WORDS BE FEW (Ecclesiastes 5:2)

    # Be careful for nothing : But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, LET YOUR REQUEST BE MADE KNOWN UNTO GOD.(Philippians 4:6)

    # And when you prayest, thou shalt NOT BE the HYPOCRITES ARE: for they LOVE TO PRAY STANDING in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.(Mat.6:5)

    # And when you prayest, ENTER INTO THY CLOSET, and when you hast shut the door, P R A Y T O T H Y F A T H E R which is in SECRET : and thy FATHER which seeth in secret S H A L L R E W A R D thee openly(Mat. 6:6)

    # But when you pray, U S E N O T V A I N R E P E T I T I O N as the heathen do : for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
BE YE NOT THEREFORE LIKE UNTO THEM : for your FATHER knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask HIM. (Mat. 6:7-8)

    # AFTER THIS MANNER therefore pray ye:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, THY WILL BE DONE in earth as it is in heaven.

    Example only :
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors…

For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever.(Mat.6:9-13)

    # Verily, verily, I SAY UNTO YOU, whatsoever ye shall ASK The Father IN MY NAME, HE may give it you.(John 16:23)

This is what a prayer should be done .

    Hi Dove,

Thanks for taking time in replying. I believe in the Father as I believe in Christ and the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the verses as well. God bless!
