…the Spirit of God came powerfully

What does that mean – the Spirit of God came powerfully?

I have heard some say that it is a supernatural energy and power.

Other say that  one feels strongly excited and whatever emotions come with this feeling is  no more than courage feeling strong for fight, and confident of success.

From another perspective, others think that it means being filled with pity and compassion, with wisdom and prudence, and sets ones  thoughts at work to contrive ways and means for that work with fortitude, courage, and resolution.

One of my favourites indicated that when the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you, He will make you an  expert, even without experience.

Others have experience physical sensations “like” drunkedness, others have begun to speak in other languages that they have never spoken before, others have become angry at the shame brought upon the Lord’s name and have become bold to come against those who have shamed.

One thing is for sure – when the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you…He will come powerfully!

  1. Why not ask God to send his Spirit, and then YOU will personally know what HE is like.
Jesus promised that the Father would pour out the Holy Spirit on those who merely ask.
Whether we are willing to actually allow him entry is another thing.

    • francis drake happens to be my most inpiriational navy officer of all time…I am now coveting…yeah, don’t have to wait just ask – thanks for making the obvious next step – let’s do it!

      • Check out my blog

This is cut and pasted from it

Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love. (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

If only the church was willing to sail away from safety, and risk all for God!

The wind of the Spirit of God should be our only driving force!
